More than a week the final event, we can make an 'analysis of these three days that saw the Holy Thorn of Petilia Policastro protagonist in the city of Genoa.
As you know, the coming of the Holy Relic is in itself a unique historical event. Never in history had happened and this has meant that all the players involved had had to give his best for the success event. Event that required a significant organizational effort, but from which the Association Petilini in Genoa has not pulled back. There were many doubts, doubts and uncertainties, but with dedication and determination we managed to give the maximum in the result. We apologize if something has gone wrong, but certainly not the fault is due to our negligence. We are sure that you have done everything possible with the help of all.
In that regard are obliged to make some necessary and proper thanks. First
Don Giuseppe Marra, who with his boundless energy and vitality has faced a long journey to keep his promise. We do not end ever be grateful for the great gift that we wanted to do, for his availability for his dynamism and his unfailing willpower, for its exciting, high and beautiful homilies that have thrilled and moved quite a few people; many believers did not see the S. Spina for decades and look at the bright eyes of those people was really touching. The best way to repay him is to realize the project within the Convent of the Sacred Plug for the disabled. A project by himself suggested and well accepted by our society, but unfortunately that has not yet reached sufficient height in this regard, it is necessary to issue an invitation to all to make a donation to help the cause.
A special thanks to Father Albert Parish of St. Nicholas of Sestriere, which hosted the S. Plug and faithful. Many of us have seen a moving interpreter sincere gratitude to the conclusion of the Mass on Sunday. For he must have been a welcome, what a pleasant surprise, to discover how many of his parishioners were from Petilia and venerated the occasion S. Plug in his parish. We can not fail to thank the Municipality of Petilia Policastro in the persons of Mayor Beasley, President of the Municipal Council Scordamaglia, Deputy Mayor and Councillor Ierardi Carvelli who wanted to take part in this event. This is the first time a mayor with some of its Directors visiting Genoa and the locations where many emigrants petilini carried out their lives, away from the homeland. Association Petilini Genoa hopes that events of this magnitude could happen again in the coming years, will always be greeted properly.
